“We find out what you need and understand your processes – and then provide the most sensible solution. Not the most expensive product. Not the most complex set-up. But the solution that works day to day and takes the load off the people in the lab.”

The people in the network

Behind every system there is a team.

Behind every project are the teams of four manufacturers. LabSentinels brings them together. Part of this work happens at trade fairs, in the factories and during commissioning; the photos range from Rome 2023 to Mannheim 2026.

Independent and combinable

Four partners, one path through your lab.

You are not buying into a bundle. Each area is its own decision, with its own contract with the manufacturer behind it – even when all four end up working together.

You start where the gain is biggest: one area or all four. Every solution stands on its own, and every one can be extended later.

A label is just a piece of paper – and yet it carries a person's identity through the whole laboratory. Every area after it relies on that label being right and staying readable: after the centrifuge, during analysis, in the archive and until disposal. The quality of identification does a great deal to keep the quality of care safe for patients.

An error here travels with the sample

Transport, sorting and analysis all read the same label. Whatever is stuck on the tube wrongly shows up further down the line – when the sample is long since on its way. Or it never shows up at all.

Built for tubes, not adapted for them

Many manufacturers treat the laboratory as a side market. The GTL series was developed for sample tubes: printing and applying in one pass, with no ribbon to run out in the middle of a batch.

You are not getting something off the shelf

For laboratory groups and system integrators the printers come as an OEM version – right down to adapted firmware, if your system environment calls for it.

History & background

Over 30 years of barcode expertise in healthcare

GoDEX was founded in Taiwan in 1993 and has grown over three decades into one of the leading specialists worldwide for barcode label printers. With offices in Europe (GoDEX Europe, Radevormwald), the USA, China and other markets, GoDEX is active in more than 70 countries today. It has been established in healthcare for years, specifically for what laboratory environments demand: labels that resist chemicals, adhere precisely to curved surfaces such as sample tubes, and stay machine-readable after centrifugation and refrigeration.

What sets GoDEX apart

Specialised in identification built around the customer

Many label printer manufacturers treat the laboratory market as a niche. GoDEX developed its GTL series (tube labellers with feeders) for exactly this area. The GTL100 prints and applies labels directly onto sample tubes of 13–16 mm diameter in 3 seconds, without a ribbon, using 203 dpi direct thermal printing. The result is a system that works reliably in everyday lab practice.

OEM & customisation

White-label options and tailored firmware

For large projects, system integrators and laboratory groups we offer every printer as an OEM version. The housing can be branded with your logo at the factory. We also develop specific firmware modifications to guarantee smooth and protected integration into proprietary LIS environments.

A decision that stays

A tube system is built, not bought – it stays in the building longer than any analyser inside it. So what counts for us is who does their own manufacturing, and who you will still be able to ring in ten years.

Nobody sets off at night any more

The sample travels on its own, even at three in the morning. With automatic unloading it does not wait at the other end for someone to open the carrier – the journey ends in the lab, not on the ward.

The journey must not cost you the sample

A tube system can damage samples – if it runs too fast or hits hard; that becomes measurable from about six metres per second. Aerocom brakes with counter-pressure air and lets the speed be set per sample type, so that transport does not turn into a repeat draw.

The way each system is sized decides both the quality of the sample and how quickly it reaches the lab. Laboratory diagnostics is a critical core process, which is why Aerocom stands not only for product quality, but also as a dependable service partner, available at any time to support laboratories and their staff in daily routine.

Pre-analytical goods-in is the bottleneck in every laboratory. If it comes to a standstill there, it affects the whole diagnostic process. That is why STIWA's solutions use dynamic systems and laboratory-specific rule sets to prevent such situations, or resolve them quickly and for good.

It comes from the factory floor

STIWA automates production lines where every minute of standstill counts. That build sits in its pre-analytics: designed for continuous load and for the day when everything arrives at once.

You talk to developers, not to a ticket

New requirements are picked up rather than put off to the next release cycle. With LabConnect the first sites work directly with the development team – and shape what the module can do.

AI you are actually allowed to use

With AI in the laboratory the hard question comes from the legal department before it comes from the technology. As an AI agency, STIWA makes current models available in a way a laboratory can use within the rules.

Industrial automation expertise

High-performance automation, now in the laboratory

STIWA is one of Europe's leading automation specialists. That expertise feeds straight into STIWA Preanalytics: industrial standards for medical processes – robust, scalable, built for high throughput.

Industrial robotics meets the laboratory

Robotics DNA. Now in the lab.

STIWA develops and manufactures high-precision assembly and handling robots for industry (automotive, medtech, electronics). Exactly that manufacturing expertise sits inside STIWA Preanalytics: laboratory automation at industrial level, built for high throughput, continuous operation and zero tolerance for errors. Not a pure software house – a company that knows how physical processes are automated reliably.

“Leaving as a friend” is not a slogan but what we have found working with them: at T&O you speak to the people who developed the devices themselves, before you buy and equally on the day a question comes up. That closeness produces solutions that fit the laboratory and support sample logistics that pay off.

One device that everything hangs on

A company that builds nothing but sample logistics cannot afford a mediocre generation of devices. What is developed here decides the company's future – not a line in a group report.

Born at sample reception, not at the drawing board

A purpose-built spectrometer reads the cap colour, and a dedicated compartment diverts out whatever is not clear-cut. Nobody invents details like that without having stood there.

Extend without changing manufacturer

First the sorter, then centrifugation with CSpin, then InTrac to connect the stations. Every step extends what is there instead of starting a second project from scratch.

The ATRAS ecosystem

Five products – sample reception with no gaps

The ATRAS R4 and ATRAS TS take care of registering and sorting. RS2 places the tubes straight into racks and centrifuge buckets. CSpin automates centrifugation. InTrac connects every station into one continuous sample flow. Depending on how the devices are configured, manual steps between registering a sample and handing it to diagnostics can be reduced and even avoided entirely (zero touch). The ecosystem scales: from the benchtop sorter to fully integrated high-throughput goods-in.

A few questions about your lab in the Quick-Check – we bring your result to the meeting.

  2. 2

    Discovery

    together, by appointment

Together we walk the path of your samples, from collection to result, on site or online. If a partner already looks after your organisation, they are involved from the start.
